  • Information and communication technology can also be used to make health care more accessible and effective.
  • Through these, doctors can help patients manage health care better by providing remote consultation and online health information. This will reduce the cost of healthcare. It can be used to make businesses more efficient and productive.
  • It can help businesses reach new markets by providing new ways to communicate with customers. This will promote economic development and increase employment opportunities.
  • It can also be used to make government services more accessible and transparent. Thus information and communication technologies can prove to be a powerful tool for promoting development.

Negative impact of Development:

  • Excessive development causes damage and loss to the environment and biodiversity.
  • This pollutes water, air and land, and species of plants and animals may become extinct.
  • Exploitation of natural resources causes climate change.

Solution:

  • It is important to avoid misuse and over-exploitation of natural resources in development activities.
  • To avoid negative impact of development, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) should be done first.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) assesses the negative impacts of developmental activities on the environment.
  • Development activities should be in line with sustainable development principles.
  • Sustainable development means development activities that meet the needs of the present generation while also preserving resources for future generations.
  • Pressure on the environment can be reduced by the use of eco-friendly technologies.
  • For this, government, business, citizens and society all need to work together, so that development can be made environment friendly.
  • Peace among countries is very important for global development. Development activities can be carried out smoothly only in a peaceful environment.

Factors Hindering Development:

  • War and conflict: War and conflict cause loss of people and resources engaged in development and hinder development. War and conflict harm economies, hampering the investment and trade needed for development.
  • Inequality: Even today millions of people in the world are living in poverty and inequality is a serious problem. There is a need to create opportunities for those who are left behind. Environmental challenges, such as climate change, are major obstacles to global development. These challenges affect developing countries the most.
  • Technological Challenges: Technological challenges can also hinder global development. For development, lack of funds for innovation and research can be a problem.
  • Conclusion :
  • For global development, mankind must rise above its narrow interests and understand that we all live on the same planet and our interests are interconnected. Therefore we must embrace universal values and principles, such as peace, justice, equality and environmental protection. For global development, peace and cooperation among different countries is necessary.
  • The theme of this time's G20 was 'One Earth, One Family and One Future'. It is inspired by ancient Indian philosophy, which includes the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. It means that the whole world is one family. The slogan ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future’ puts forward the idea that we all live on one Earth and we must work together to keep the planet healthy and sustainable.
