About Nobel Prize 2023:

Nobel Peace Prize 2023:

  • Human rights activist Nargis Mohammadi, who raised her voice against atrocities against women of Iran, has been honored with the Nobel Peace Prize 2023.

 

  • When Nargis Mohammadi was given this highest award, she was still in jail.
  • Nargis Mohammadi is the 19th woman and second Iranian woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

 

Nobel Prize for Literature 2023:

  • The Nobel Prize in Literature, 2023 has been awarded to Norwegian-language writer John Fosse.

 

  • John Fosse writes novels in a style known as 'Fosse Minimalism'.
  • He was given this award for his innovative plays and prose.

Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2023:

  • The Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2023 has been awarded to Moungi Bawendi, Louis Brus and Alexey Ekimov.
  • These people have been given this award for the discovery and development of quantum dots.

Nobel Prize in Physics 2023:

  • The Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2023 has been awarded to three scientists, Pierre Agostini of America, Ferenc Krause of Germany and Annie L. Huyler of Sweden.

Nobel Prize in Medicine 2023:

 

  • The Nobel Prize for Medicine has been awarded this year to scientists Caitlin Carricko and Drew Weisman for preparing Corona's mRNA vaccine.

  • The Nobel Prize was started in 1901.
  • This award is given to those people who have done incredible work or inventions for mankind.
  • The Nobel Prize is considered the most prestigious award given for intellectual achievement in the world.
  • This award was named after the great Swedish inventor and industrialist Alfred Nobel.
  • The Nobel Prize cannot be awarded posthumously. Also, the Nobel Prize can be given jointly to only a maximum of 3 people.
  • The Nobel Prize is awarded in a total of 6 categories.

  • Mother Teresa was the first Indian woman to receive the Nobel Prize.
