Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully completed the inaugural flight test of the Kusha Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LR-SAM) system, marking a major milestone in national air defence technology.

    • M1 Interceptor: Coverage up to ~150 km
    • M2 Interceptor: Coverage up to ~250 km
    • M3 Interceptor: Coverage ranging from 350 km to 400 km
  • Strategic Shield Component: Serves as an integral element of the proposed Mission Sudarshan Chakra, aimed at deploying a unified, multi-layered national missile defence umbrella by 2035.
